Befuddled

Hi,

I have a assembly part which contains lots of broken wave links. It seems to a company process to break them on release of the data.

I know how to manually relink them all by individually editing each command, but there are to many for this process to be practical.

Question....
I have a full WAVE lucense so have access to the WAVE General Relinker command, but can’t quite work out how to use it.

I have a simple test part, a patent with one child. The child contains a single block. I have then wave geometry linked into the parent some faces, and the body itself. I have then broken the links.....

But just can’t seem to get the general relinker command to automatically relink all of the broken links.

Am I expecting to much from this command, or should it be able automatically fix these broken links , ie i’m Just not doing correctly.....

Any help appreciated,

Cheers,

B..

We typically re-link manually and it is excruciating. I have found that often the process requires a lot of attention to prevent subsequent features to break, even when the best practices are followed.

Before you open the assembly you may want to fully open the components of it first, at least those that are Wave linked.
When you open the assembly the wave links will hopefully then be linked.
