Design groups are a more efficient way to manage a large model with many features. Although feature groups can do this, Design Groups can improve software responsiveness because features in other design groups do not roll back or update.

Hi @Eppy,
I'd be interested in more detail to assist you. I am curious why you create the formed from the flat but that's a side issue. Can you share a part file and details of the bend and I can take a look.
Seems to be working fine for me. I created a sketch and selected that line for the bend.
Yes, use the flat solid command. If you already have a flat pattern feature you can make the flat solid external (RMB on flat pattern feature).
Also, depending what you're needing it for, you can create a new window and have the flat pattern open in one window while workoing on the model in...
This method has become much better in later releases of NX, advise you upgrade to the latest release to get 'associate object' command that will transition your components.
However, in NX11 you should be able to get this to work with assembly constraints. Just make sure you use mate and align...
Is your license server provided through vpn? It may be polling that. If so, suggest you consider license borrowing? I'm not sure. I would expect you get a better response if you post to Link
So if you want to use chunky method, create the design in modeling by whatever method is efficient for you. When the design is complete, switch to the sheet metal application and use 'Convert to Sheet Metal' command.
If you use this method you have to be really careful your are honoring the...
Hi @AntoSilv
What is your end goal, why do you need the curve on the bent part? I ask becuase NX Sheet Metal supports additional curves on Unbend but not on Rebend.
If you need the curve for a cutout, then use Normal cutout on the flat form and rebend will transition the cutout.

It depends what version of NX you are using. You should be fine selecting 'planar' segments of advanced flange to create sketches (from NX1202).
If you want to create a sketch on a non-planar surface then add a CSYS or Datum Plane and sketch on that.
Hi @Old3DNewbie,
I would get back in touch with your 'Siemens official seller' and give them a list of your immediate requirements and what you expect to need in the future; they will then provide the information for the most appropriate package for you.
Some library items are of course...
The 'Required *' is something that needs user input and reserved for selection blocks.
You can add it to the dialog though using labels:
- Create a label block and add text 'required'
- Create a label block and enter 'asterisk' as the Bitmap Value
- Use Other, Attachments to position appropriately
