Hi there
I have three channels modeled using swept feature. I want to connect them with a nice looking blend.
Normal Edge Blend doesn`t satisfy me but it works fine when I want to offset the blend surface
Styling Blend from the other hand satisfies me but it doesn`t work when I want to...
I don`t know how to add two attachments to one post so I put it herehttp://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=aa63d317-1ba9-44b6-9af6-b3f25a7fa2a1&file=spiral.png
Hi there
What would be the best way to wrap a curve ( spiral ) on a surface ?
I attach the prt file as well as a paint sketch.
I have been trying to use a wrap curve but it doesn`t work on a multiple face sheet. Also the surface size changes from bottom to up which might be a challenge.
Any...
Hi adkad
Thanks for the tip but
geometric progression works fine but only when you have progression. It will not allow me to place points as "percentage subtype" where I have a list and I could put 33%, 66% and for example 55% in one feature.
Although I could do it in two/three separate...
Hi
I`m trying to create two points on a spline curve at the 33% and 66% of the spline lenght
I use Point Set - Curve Points and Curve Percentage Subtype.
It creates points but when I later on divide original spline with created points -> divided curves are not equal.
Even when you look at the...
Just found out the answer.
If you do Derived Curve -> Intersect and then Project it into Sketch - then Offset Curve inside the sketch does not work
If you do Derived Curve -> Section and then Project it into Sketch - then Offset Curve inside the sketch does work
I don`t know why but it is as I...
Toost - it works really good.
It doesn`t create a chart but this isn`t a problem.
Guide curve is mandatory for such analysis so it will not work with imported ( from stp ) pipe bodies but I guess this would be too much to ask.
Thanks
I looked for this problem and it seems that someone has already asked it on a forum but unfortunately didn`t get an answer
The problem is with offset curve in Sketch environment. I projected some curves into sketch and wanted to offset them. I get a message saying "Offset is not well-defined...
This was only an example. Imagine you have a pipe surface ( from a stp file ) or a simple Through Curve surface. How would you check that section is changing in linear way ?http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=40ea3c5d-9cd5-4aa7-95bc-c5835eae0592&file=area_section.prt
Hello
I`m trying to find a feature which allows me to check how the section ( mm2 ) of the pipe changes along the guide curve ?
I have a Swept feature. One section at the beginning and one section at the end. I created a surface using these two sections and a guide curve. I used Scalling...
Hi
I`m using NX10 and trying to make a Swept which will be tangent to first, and last section ( similar to Through Curve Mesh where you select surfaces to be tangent with ) and also I want to control its shape by a spine curve ( spine curve is perpendicular to first, second and last section )...

Try to change it in Customer Defaults
Go to File-Utilities-Customer Defaults Select Gateway-Visualization and go to View/Screen tab. Change Rotation Point Delay value into one you want and click ok. You need to restart your NX session and then this value will become your default value...
Hi Carlharr
There is a simple way to check it.
Go to Analysis - Examine Geometry -> select Sheet Boundaries and select your sew sheet body and click Examine Geometry. Select Highlight Results. Result shows you where the gaps are.

Hi VukMorski
In NX 7.5 is possible. When you are in Drafting go to Feature Parameters - it is located in Dimension bar ( use Command Finder if you cant find it ) select feature ( thread ) select view and click ok.

I have an assembly with two parts. In one part there is a point. In Expressions I have p1143_x = 5 p1144_y = 10 p1145_y = 15
In another part ( in the same assembly ) I have two curves and an angle between those curves is for example p1200=20
How to set up a value of an angle ( p1200 )...
