Any suggestions on how to get the u

I seem to recall the ideal nozzle being a 1.4 Double. OEM Amada worked best. Edge data does do something...how they correlate can be confusing. My first guess is feed rate is too slow causing excessive heat but 25ipm seems decent for 2k watts. I'd address nozzle issues first.

    FABRIWIN

You probably have an old version of FabriWIN. If you upgrade you should have no problem running a newer version of the software on windows 7/10. It's worth mentioning that Amada has dropped the FabriWIN name and calls the software AP100.

Cutting a Straight line on FO3015

Review cutting conditions. Make sure feed rate is too low for heat setting. If cutting too slowly then the material is being excessively heated.

ductwork for a laser dust collector

We did something similar and had Torit come check pressures and analyze the system to ensure it was adequate. The challenges Chris K mentions regarding dust collectors outside the building are real. For dust collector to work correctly you'll need to provide make up air or keep an outside door...

Nitro suddenly cutting bad. FOM II 3015 nt

Do you have another N2 source you can try (different bottle or dewar)? Perhaps your N2 source is contaminated. I'm assuming where you said you changed gas bottles you're referring to the lasing gas (CO2 mix)

    Amada FO-3015 - Alarm 2154 - sensing alarm

Your z-wire could be bad. The cone could be bad. They do fail after a while. (Amada considers the cone/head to be a consumable item). I believe there are companies that offer cone rebuild service for some models. You could try a new nozzle. Be sure to recalibrate the head with Trace-On...

24K Turbo Blower overhaul how important is it???

I believe if you exceed the recommended change interval Amada will give you nothing for the old blower so that's a considerable additional expense. Ignoring that, I believe blower failure is likely to cause the entire system to become contaminated. This requires many additional parts to be...

    .500 Steel on AMADA FO3015?????

I was simply sharing the info I have from my Amada notes. I don't know how much success you may have with those settings. Your straight cut looks decent but straight cuts are easier than more realistic features where the effective feed rate is constantly changing and approach data is changing...

    .500 Steel on AMADA FO3015?????

Your nozzle gap at .060" seems high. Our documentation suggests .030" The parameters I have straight from Amada for an Fo3015NT 4kW laser: 55"/min (I'd stick with 40"/min for now) 4000 watts 2000Hz freq 100% duty .08 gas .030 nozzle gap .040" focus

    .500 Steel on AMADA FO3015?????

I don't think nozzle centering is the issue but it of course should always be checked when having troubles. Looks to me like it is getting too hot. Also the nozzle might be pulling away from the work, changing the focus. This sometimes happens as a product of other parameters being off. If...

setting for 16g (.0625) stainless steel

Settings for 16 gauge shouldn't be all that different from 18 gauge. If 18 gauge cuts well start with that condition and increase feed rate and otherwise adjust as necessary. You may need to set the focus a bit deeper compared to the 18 gauge parameter.

Bysprint pro 3015 , 7,5' cutting head problem

They were probably suggesting that is the pressure you want for oxygen going into the machine. That pressure is way too high for O2 cutting. If you are indeed trying to cut using oxygen @ 10-15bar that is your problem. Do you have any problems cutting any other materials/thicknesses? Have...

    Cutting Head Connection-Details Required.

I'm not sure if the FO M2 head system is the same as the FO3015NT. If it is there are three tiny switches that get activated when the head hits an object. I believe all three switches are in the closed (pressed in) position. If the head/cone strikes something that causes it to tilt then one...

    Cutting Speeds

A well tuned 4kW FO 3015 should be able to cut 16 CRS over 200"/min easily on nitrogen. Oxygen will be slower. I have a really old spec sheet from Amada that shows: 260"/min feedrate, 3500W, 2000Hz, 100 duty, gas 0.90, nitrogen, .020" nozzle gap, focus -.039"

    2004 Bystronic BySpeed 3015 4.4kW Power Requirements

You would not need full power to cut those materials/thicknesses. Having said that, we typically run close to 4kW when cutting those same materials. Aluminum does like a lot of power. Even if you planned on running the machine at less than max power I think you'd want to consult with...

dross issue when cutting galvabond on Amada F0-3015 would appreciate help

This material is difficult to cut and slow to cut. What head/cone do you have on the machine? On our F1 (most likely has a head/cone that cuts galvanized material better than FO cone) I think we cut this material at around 90"/min. Fiber lasers seem to cut this material more effortlessly with...

    tap hole in 1/2" hrs

Striker, what has your experience been so far with cutting small holes in 1/2"? You have a newer laser which helps but those are very small holes to be cutting in 1/2". I would undersize any laser cut hole intended for tapping and then drill/ream to size before tapping. I would not expect to...

Any Amada Ensis fiber laser experiences?

Thanks for the input. Most of the cutting will be on thinner materials w/ nitrogen

Any Amada Ensis fiber laser experiences?

We have an older Amada FO3015NT 4kW and an F1 4kW. We are considering buying an Amada Ensis 2kW fiber laser. Does anybody have any experience with this machine?
