    Solidworks PDM Standard, Move Tree

Scott and CheckerHater, I want to keep the files in the vault without making a copy...not checking in a whole bunch of duplicates. Our (large) vault does not allow duplicates. I believe the move tree tool has a place where one can specify each file's location when moving. I will double check...

    Solidworks PDM Standard, Move Tree

My question is without upgrading to PDM Pro, what is the easiest way to move a large assembly in multiple folders(leaving toolbox parts where they are)to one dedicated folder. We have PDM Standard 2018 (not sure if current version of pdm standard has move tree tool?). Tom Richards...

    DWG Editor

I am an autocad vetran and find dwgeditor not very useful. I recommend not using it. Find a way to put the drawing frames/titles you need into SW.

PDMWorks temp view file post check in

We had major problems with the temp file not being what we checked in (2006). We worked for months with our VAR trying to fix this. They never got it working to our satisfaction. Our work around is to make PDF's and don't trust anything we see until we pull it out of the vault. I still check...

Default tool bars... Autocad 2000 LT

I have messed around with this and have forgotten what file or files you can copy and paste to get the toolbars equal on two computers. I did this to have my computer at home equal. I am sure I did a search in this forum to learn what file(s) you need to alter. Hope this helps.

    Phenolic versus Nylon

I am trying to specify a durable non-conductive spacer/mount for a printed circuit board that sees a lot of vibration and shock. The spacer will need to have internal threads (female). I can easily get them in Nylon or Phenolic. Which would you use for the longest life?

Acad 2000i & winXP - Open dialog box view

I ran into this problem also. Either in this forum or at Autodesk I read something of the sort: Each time you open the dialog box the icons will be the large ones. You can temporarily change the view to details, but the next time you use the dialog box it will be the huge icons with no...

where to get a cad program

Autocad LT is pretty inexpensive at about $800 / seat. I find it has almost everything you need if you work in 2D. Check out Alibre for 3D work.

    AutoCAD 2000 and Windows XP

I am having this problem and so are others (I copied this from autocad LT forum): When I open files and the "Select File" or "open File" dialog box opens, the section of the dialog box that lists all the files and directories always defaults to a list of the files with just...
