Well if I'm in aseembly design and I apply a material from the default material catalog and then try to mirror the part using the "symmetry" command, the new mirrored part doesn't retain the material that the original part had. Are there any settings or methods which do retain the material for...
Hi everyone,
I have an assembly that is 45,000+ parts and have applied materials to all of those parts. I would now like to mirror the assembly. I was planning on using the symmetry command in the Assembly Design workbench under the Assembly Features toolbar, but using this command I cannot...
Gave them a call and they helped me out. In case anyone else has this problem, the issue that I had was due to the old version of NX that I was running. I was running 8.5.0.23 which was apparently pretty outdated. They suggested that updating to NX 8.5.2 or newer versions should fix the problem...
Hi everyone,
Having some issues loading up an assembly in NX 8.5. The assembly is about 65,000 parts. I have to open the assembly as "structure only" and then load up each of the components individually, so with 65,000 parts...this is pretty time consuming. When I load some parts the error...
I've seen a lot of threads talk about reference sets, and how properly maintained reference sets are key to higher level modeling, however I haven't found any threads which clearly explain how to use reference sets properly. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm using NX 7.5.
That is indeed what I meant. The only problem with deleting the last point and then closing the spline is that the trailing edge should be a sharp edge, not rounded. Also...I have a few sheet bodies that I would like to convert to just references...any suggestions? Sorry for all the simple...
I'm just using the "move object" command and dynamic method for moving the spline. It's approximately 100 points. My spline is an airfoil and has one coincident point at the trailing edge. I have found that this only occurs with splines which have coincident points.
Luckily I was able to figure it out. I'm not sure why it wasn't working before. I actually have another problem you may be able to help with. I'm using NX 7.5, and I have just used the "fit spline" command and imported coordinates via a data file. When I try to move the spline (both translation...
I have created a spline in the sketcher mode, and wish to use the "Smooth Spline" Command, however once I exit the sketcher (as the help has told me to do) I am unable to select the spline once I start using the command. What am I doing wrong?
This seems like it is exactly what I need, but I'm just having some trouble figuring out how to use it. The .grx file...I did some research online and it says to open it using GetRight? Could you offer some more details regarding the operation of this program. Thank you!
I know it is very easy to create a data file filled with x,y,z coordinates and then import them into NX in order to create a spline, but is there anyway to do the reverse? Just to clarify...I have a spline that I have created using NX and now I would like to derive a certain number of...
