To answer one of your questions, for a file server I would recommend RAID 5, or 10 depending on what you can afford. It has saved our bacon more than once when drives inevitably fail and the machine stays up and running.
That would also be a reason to buy a true “server” machine and not a PC...
If you are using Master Model workflow you actually have to create the explosion in the drawing file (once a view is placed and or deleted) and not the model file. Don't ask me why! Then when you go to place the view you have to override the default part (model) file and choose the drawing file...
I think you switched into the touch/tablet-panel role as that icon shows up in that role and I haven't figured out how to even move it out of the way.

I don't use it at all due to it's sizable shortcomings. I know someone who has developed a comprehensive SQL based system which takes into account material type, thickness and then presents suitable tooling combinations and bend radius input automatically based on that fabricators...
I had a look at this model as well and I see a lot of sheet metal "no-no's" inside it. For one, the use of cylindrical extrusions, which I would assume are PEM nuts? Those all need to be separate part(s) in the file/assembly, not a connected extrusion. If this was brought in from another system...
I did some testing a couple of years ago with a MacPro (aluminum box generation) running OS-X Snow Leopard and Win 7 on a separate drive running Boot Camp. The performance results all slanted to the OS-X version of NX. Primarily speed benefits while computing or recomputing patterns, etc. They...
Hardware and operating system requirements
The release of NX 9 on Mac OS X supports Apple Mac 64-bit Intel based systems. These include the MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac Pro systems. All available graphics subsystems are supported.
The minimum version of Mac OS X required to run NX 9 is version...
What version of OS-X are you running and on what hardware? I think you're okay on about everything but a MacBook Air.

Have you loaded the X11 utilities and any other requirements for OS-X? Unfortunately on the Mac, it's just not a simple NX install. You have to download some Unix tools from the web first to make it all run.

Being in the sheet metal industry, we are asked to do this all the time with different fonts. I have never been able to make this "easy". Even if we get a "stencil" font, the biggest issue then becomes the width of the little tabs that make it a "stencil" which hold in the material on interior...

Yes it can be done in sheet metal, but not sync. In ordered mode use the "lofted flange" command. But before you do, it's best to create the two circular sketches on opposing planes first. BUT be sure to make the two sketches as 359.?? circular sketches using the exact same angle (not full...

Khimani,
You are correct, you can open up multiple files with TeamCenter, but in Native (when we are opening customers data) you don't have that option. I had several files for a customer I needed to look at yesterday...
First thing in the morning I will be opening and ER for this and the other missing ability I just stumbled on today. I want to be able to open multiple files from the File-Open dialog by doing the normal Shift-Pick of all the relevant files I want to open. And then be able to cycle through them...
NX does for line-line connections only.

The contour flange command requires tangential connections when transitioning from a line to arc and vise-versa. For line to line, or arc to arc, this is not required. All you need to do is add two very small tangent arcs to connect the line to the arc and back to the line.
