I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing. Your first sentence reads as if I was trying to add linked stuff to an instance of a part family member. From a users point of view I don't. I just want to link geometry from the instance into another part.

I actually tried 'Use Display Prperties of Parent Part' which seemed to be exactly what I needed. The original plane is part of a datum csys. Is it possible that this case is not considered and that it is the reason why 'Use Display Prperties of Parent Part' does not work in my case? Same...

Well, the subject is already the question. I have several wave linked datum planes and they are displayed in a huge size that visually hinders working on the model. I can of course hide them but I would prefer to just resize it as suitable like I would do with a regular, non-linked datum plane...

Thank you, but that is not quite what I was looking for. I know that there are options for 'static' customizations but that doesn't help keeping customizations that happen on-the-fly during work in sync between the different apps.

I had once the same problem (NX9). The 'ghost' expressions kept popping up as 'user defined' and I couldn't delete them. Quite annoying! File cleanup did not help either. So yes - I have experienced it. But I don't know a solution. I just ignored it.

I don't know if it is possible in NX6 but in later versions you can use the expression browser to get a list of references: - load all parts that could reference the expression + the parent part of the expression in the current nx session. - switch to the parent part and open the expression...

When using 'create linear path' ports don't seem to be selectable as start/end-points. Is this just another bug in the routing application or am I missing some weird logic?
