I don't think I deleted them from the disk. I only deleted them from the assembly. Unfortunately, I don't know the file numbers to add them back to the assembly. Is there a way I can find out what files used to be in the assembly and get those file numbers?
Thank you,

Hi All,
I accidentally deleted 4 or 5 parts from an assembly file and I need to get them back. Is there a way to do this? If I go to Menu>Information>Part>Part History>Apply I can see a previous file version that would include the parts I accidentally deleted. Is there a way to restore that...
I feel your pain! The hole callout feature also does not work for a hole located on a cylindrical surface, i.e. a setscrew hole over a keyway in a pulley. This has been a known issue for nearly 10 years. WTF??? It's as if the programmers for this software have never tested their own code to...
I'm currently using 11.0.2.7, no major upgrades that I'm aware of. Also, since my original post I've learned that this issue seems to be limited to one file and within that file the "move object" command no longer works either. As long as there are zero assembly constraints on an object I can...
Typically, if I wanted to click/drag (move) a part on the screen, I would open the assembly constraints dialog box, select touch/align and then I could drag the part around. This is, of course assuming the part was not fully constrained. Now, all of a sudden, I can't do this anymore. I always...
I did a save as and now I don't remember the name of the original file that I saved from. Is there a way to extract that information from the new file?

The datum plane workaround did not work. So LAME that it took them 12 versions to fix a "known issue". I guess I can say, I'm looking forward to NX 12 as we are still using 11.

We are hardwired but we are in a different building than the server and I believe the fiber optic cable has a limited bandwith. So, that could be part of it. The video driver was updated a few months ago and when we did that it seemed to have zero impact. I'm terrible about never shutting...
I don't know exactly how many parts. Is there an easy way to get a part count or a file size?
If I had to guess it's easily in the multiple thousands.
I have not tried any of the suggestions you made but I will. Thank you!
I watched the RAM while I opened the file and while doing some...
I can close all other apps and still get the exact same performance. Not that much running anyway. Just Teamcenter, Chrome and Excel. Yes, it runs NX fine on the smaller files, but it really lags on the larger files. I'll try rebooting but I'm cautiously optimistic at best.
Thank you,
Trent...
I am having a lot of trouble with my pc lagging with larger assemblies. It seems that nearly each click or command I enter takes 5-20 seconds to process. No issues with smaller assemblies or single part files. The attached screen shot shows my pc's current specs and my video card is an Nvidia...
How would you model the blue web path shown in the image? Thank you!

Okay, Here are just a few that annoy the heck out of me. Single out any one of these and they are not a major issue but due to the fact that there are dozens of them, the software is frustrating for me to use.
How do I remove the "Hole Callout" dimension from the "Radial Dimension" dialog...
I do have tons of specific examples. In fact, I could write a short book on the topic. I've posted here a few times over the years regarding some of these issues and typically there are no fixes for any of these, maybe some silly workaround but no legitimate fix. Therefore, I don't think...
