I'm not sure pre-ST9 had a file for prefixes. It may have just remembered based on last used and it would be local to your pc. The file allows them to be saved and shared.
I don't know what's going on with conversions. I usually don't get non-solid bodies when I import. And I don't know that I...
For the dim prefix/suffix list: DraftDimensionPrefix.txt likely under templates\reports depending on what version you are using. This is for ST9.
I don't know how to have surfaces on all the time. I thought the .asm template would be the way but it doesn't seem to stick.
You might want to...
My very limited understanding is that some users of Insight have implemented workflows with the SharePoint component. Having no need for that or further knowledge that's all I can say about it.
Click on the thread, then its call-out. Go to the hole properties and select "tapered pipe thread" and pick the right size. The only weird thing is that picking R 1/4 it seems to think the thread diameter for R 1/4 is 13.8 rather than 13.157. The G 1/4 thread is properly 13.157. That's probably...
I don't think there's a way to define a text string in the variable table. You could define a text property though. Not sure how you'd pass that on to an engraving though. You might want to pose this question on a much more active forum...
I recommend posting this question here: http://community.plm.automation.siemens.com/t5/Solid-Edge-Forum/bd-p/solid-edge-forum
It's a much more active forum and you will likely get many answers within hours if not minutes.
When you say "part copies" do you mean design or construction bodies? If so you can open a new part and insert this part as a part copy and it should have only one body.
Just run Property Manager while in the draft with the property columns that interest you showing and copy from the part fields and paste in the draft fields. Not automagic but pretty darned simple and fast. If you make the columns consecutive you can do it in one operation.
I have experienced some minor graphics issues which were fixed by installing a specific driver recommended in the Siemens Solid Edge community.
As for the extrude command failing in any mode I have not experienced or heard about.

If it's a multicore processor (and what isn't these days?) it is only going to use one core and what you see, I think, is the percent used of the whole processor. So, it's probably near max on that one core.
What is P.D. and M.D.? Pitch diameter and major or major diameter?
And I agree with Kenat. You should only need to call out the Thread size and pitch and possibly depth.
In other words, only what you want in the delivered part, not the process to get there.
Unfortunately it is the nature of complex, ever-evolving software with revisions and updates, old and/or new problems are introduced. My understanding is that MP2 is fairly buggy. That's why we haven't installed it and are awaiting MP3. It is a practice of many companies to wait on upgrades and...
