    Export 2D DXF

In this case I am attempting to export a simple 2d sketch as a DXF file. i've tried exporting it as curves, as a sketch, as cgm, as layout space, as model space, using revision 2000, using revision 2003, with splines, with out splines, running nx as administrator, re creating the entire sketch...

    Export 2D DXF

Are you saying DXF is a depreciated file format?

    Export 2D DXF

It was requested. I guess they're using older tools?

    Export 2D DXF

In 2016, what is the best method to export 2D geometry from a part file to a DXF file for machinists? edit: using Siemens NX 10

    License Bundles

I am looking at our license bundles, seeing if we can add some FEA components and remove some unused components from our bundles. Where can I find more information on specific components and rough cost estimates...

    Features you wish NX had?

I created a PDF with a collection of my feature requests, and a bug report. http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=59b9feda-16d2-408f-be73-65f7d7dcdbba&file=NX_Suggestions.pdf

    Plotter Setup

Good Morning, I was wondering if someone could breakdown the steps required to properly set up a plotter. Currently I am able to "print" to it, but not "plot". I am using: - Windows 7 Pro 64-bit - NX 10 - and an HP T770 Plotter connected through network

Graphics window jagged edges (faceting) (update display)

I don't know. I only used team center at the nx essentials training.

Graphics window jagged edges (faceting) (update display)

Ohhh, I know what you're talking about now. You have to manually change the setting on all of your existing part files. You can edit your main template file so that new files have this setting on. customer defaults never work for me. I just make changes to the template file and then save it...

    Features you wish NX had?

A sketch button just like "create rectangle" or "create polygon" that lets you "Create Rounded Rectangle" Also, I the perpendicular constraints and the parallel constraints are dysfunctional in the geometry solver. They seem to be "soft" constraints" where horizontal, coincident, fixed and...

Graphics window jagged edges (faceting) (update display)

Ivan, did you try setting the Resolution to "Fine"?

Graphics window jagged edges (faceting) (update display)

I think I may have solved my own problem. By switching to Fixed facet settings, and selecting Fine I get an favorable balance of performance and visualization.

Graphics window jagged edges (faceting) (update display)

Hello, I've been using NX everyday for about a year and a half now. I would consider myself an advanced user. However, when it comes to graphics and performance settings I am still very confused. This is not a critical issue, but it does drive me nuts, and can interrupt my workflow in some...

    Shaded View Plotting undesired results

Cowski, Thanks! This setting was already on High, but by changing it to Draft the graphics print correctly.

    Shaded View Plotting undesired results

Thanks Jerry NX is the only CAD software I have available. What would you recommend?

    Shaded View Plotting undesired results

Just wondering if anyone here has seen a similar issue before. When I "plot" 3d shaded views the graphics become jagged and torn. When I export as PDF or "print" to the plotter there is not problem. The plotter I am using is an HP T770...

NX10 Drafting - Feature Parameters and mirrored/patterned holes

I just finished a large assembly, about 68 parts not including fasteners. Each part with a convoluted mile long feature list. Now it's time to make drawings. Well, God, I wish I did things differently from the start. I used the default NX part file for each part, big mistake. Now I have to...
