Well I'm trying to make it into the drafting field and i have been split on all these different industries. I'm trying to find actual certifications and licenses. I sent in a request to the email provided on the TN website.
After looking on Reddit for some time i found out that certifications...
don't know if this is related...
but as far as "analysis" for roadway engineering specifically say in Revit
How would that go?? Is it beneficial to learn BIM for mechanical engineering??
How can i open up structures on revit and "Apply loads"
I'm still taking a BIM course of course...But...
it's like $250 and i need it to finish my drafting course...those who have read my previous posts know i quit my job/ what my skillsets are. I'm currently taking the classes and i'm doing the modules in e learning that i can without a ton of the books which are on= Cengage.
I still have a...
i'm not quitting drafting. I like AutoCAD and have learned the basic functions of it. I'm considering possibly going into the electrical field where i make schematics or BIM.
Thing is i hate math....but i'm into engineering at the same time.
Looking online for certifications...i don't know how...
I am quiting my current job which is just a cook at a restaurant because i am tired of always being disrespected. Also i feel if i continue working there i'm wasting time...for $10/hr. I don't know if my boss will give me my last check but i will call and tell them to mail. It went from "i...
i've considered going into the trades alongside my autoCAD program. Something like welding/fabrication maybe. I've always wanted to build my own cars. Never wanted to be a mechanic. (Like i do but only for myself)
I realize i make minimum wage because it's minimum skill.
My mission now at 21...
i'm just tired of being broke and seeing everyone else win. As a young man it seems a lot of you guys are out of touch to how my value correlates to how much money i make.
i could be wrong...but i doubt it.
Thats where the impatience comes...
i keep doing research on trying to either find a entry level CAD job or to be able to freelance with my skills. I hear things like go to cable companies or real estate agents/general contractors. Like who has the best chance of needing to outsource their work.
i keep making and just calling...
sorry to make this a sad post but i hate my life. I hate my job...although i am much more tolerant at school when i'm learning about drafting. I've been trying to call places to see if anyone needs CAD work.I have lists of companies and i just cold call and also i send resumes through emails i...
i wanted to hear about the different experiences you all have had on how to get hired.
Are there any apprenticeships/jobs for AutoCAD Drafters (I live in TN)
(I look on indeed and make multiple lists....just seems everyone wants you to be certified in order to hire
If there aren't any what do i...
Yesterday was my 21 birthday btw.
Anyways, I will consider both what you have said and honestly I've realized i CAN start freelancing once I "get the ball rolling" however I got another test at the floorplan company on Monday at 8:30. He says if i do good in front of him i will be able to work...
What should i do about my interest in drafting. I don't feel i have that much of an immense passion however if it will help me get out of my moms basement i'll be happy. I am currently in TCAT Memphis and in the AutoCAD/Drafting Course. I also have shadowed and learned from a floor plan...
I'm considering which area i should go into for drafting and i've been trying to research what are some things many drafters do that like people/businesses buy the fiverr version. Figured i'd take advantage of location here in memphis however i'm still a student.
What are some good disciplines...
ok so i’m gonna be working with a floor plan company once the owner gets back from out of the country. Already have been talking with him about AutoCAD through Email and seen the process of autoCAD be worked on in his office and got to speak with one of the employees
He told me he’ll be back in...
oh so as far as a portfolio what do you think is practical to use to get specific jobs. I guess it’s hard to just stick to one engineering path. I’m already scared A.I gonna screw me over. Right now i have a floorplan i was working on trying to make. I’m having a not great time with it…Whereas...
