    about welder test in 6Gr position

    In AWS D1.1, 4.8.1, permited melt-through is 3 mm except for T-Y and K connection. Now if I have a welder test qualification coupon according to figure 4.27 and melt-through is more than 3 mm can I accept this welder or not? Regards H.Mirhosseini
