Adding,
the temperature is indicated in forging certificate (the accesory is a BW CAP, 14" sch. 140),
not in base material certificate (the ussual I think)
Many tanks again
Dear all,
I have a material certificate of a Nickel-Iron-Chromium Alloy Plate (ASTM B 409-01, UNS N08811, incoloy 800HT) of thickness = 1 1/4 " (31,75 mm).
The problem is they are indicating annealing Temperature between 2012ºF and 2138 ºF (they do not specificate an unique temp.), but ASTM...
Sorry, I do not explain very well. Yes, it is ASTM A-105.
In Purchase order is not required Supplementary Requirements S5 and S6.
Many thanks for your quick reply.
Why in SMAW process the maxium oscilation is 3 times the electrode diameter and in GMAW process is 8-9 times?
Ussually SMAW diameters: 2.5, 3.25, 4 and 5
Ussually GMAW diameters: 1.2
I think the answer is in ASME CODE (maybe IX), but I can not remember where
Many thanks
This specification requires PT or MT in the surface of the accesorie, but only in suplementary requirements.
Can I obligate them to carry out NDT?
Material certificate only says of Visual and dimensional checking, anythng of NDT. By the way, ¿It is obligatory to indicate the real mesurements of...
Dear all,
I have material certificates of the following accesories:
2 x 1 1/2 ECC. SWAGE NIPPLE BEXPE Sch.80
1 1/2 x 1 ECC. SWAGE NIPPLE PBE Sch.80
1 1/2 x 1 CONC. SWAGE PBE Sch.80
1 x 3/4 CONC. SWAGE NIPPLE PBE Sch.80 X 160
They have deliverey us in ASTM A-234 WPB instead A-105 Gr.B...
I am checking material certificates of forged accesories (ASTM SA-234 Gr. WPB) where all are referenced to ASME II Ed. 2001.
Can the vendor issue a certificate with an old revision of the ASME II Part. A code?
Is it mandatory to use the last revision of the code (Ed 2004)? Could I reject all...
I prefer to use 7018 or 8018, always with a higher yield strengh. If you are using X52 you need an electrode with 7430 psi or higher. E7018 only give 7000, I would prefer E8010 or 8018. In my opinion, rutile electrodes (E6010, E6013) for piping are not good, and less in this case (you will have...
