My guess is that you should make sure there are no spaces in the path defined for UPGEOM. In the path provided in your post I see a space between xxxxxx and Rus, replace it with an underline so that you have "xxxxxx_Rus" and you should be OK.

When it opens the empty DM file, do you click the Generate button? I assume that you have attached the IGES file to your Geometry (Geometry => import Geometry=> browse...).

From the View in the menu select "Restore Original Window Layout" and I think things will be back to normal again. If this does not help you might need to remove the Ansys folder in your profile folder (under "documents and settings" folder). I hope these help!
