Sheet specific properties in a multi-sheet drawing?

CorBlimeyLimey, when you say just add a qty to the drawing sheet, do you mean type the quantity manually as a note ?

Sheet specific properties in a multi-sheet drawing?

Does any one know how to do this ? We create some drawings of models with parts inside parts using multi-sheet drawings. Sheet 1 is the master weldment drawing where sheet 2 may be a laser cut weld in part. If for example I need qty 1 of the main drawing but need 2 of the sheet 2 laser cuts...

    Hiding columns in a BOM

ah, thanks ! I really had no idea on that one. A friend though they remember being able to do it with a $PRP$ or something to that effect in the header row of the BOM but I can't find any documents to support that, nor can I get it to work.

    Hiding columns in a BOM

Does anyone know of a way to hide columns in a BOM so that they do not appear when printed but do appear when you save the BOM out to an excel or a csv file. I am on SW 2009 sp2 Thanks,

    Trouble printing ...

Having trouble printing from solidworks. Version 2009 sp 2.1. Seems to happen on larger drawings, all annotations will print but none of the model views. Has anyone else experienced this ? Thanks,

    Handling Handed parts

Just a kind of related question, does your part file name (ie xxxx.slprt) equal the part number that appears in a BOM?

    Handling Handed parts

Ok, how about this. How do you guy handle quantities of handed parts ? Lets say you need 2 rights and 3 lefts for some reason.... do you write the quantities right on the drawing or ... is there some custom automated software that does it .. or ?

    Handling Handed parts

Just wondering how others handle handed parts and assemblys in Solidworks; when it comes to things like naming them, making drawings for them and how they appear on the BOM?

White screen only when saving annimation ?

Ok I used solidworks animator add in to make a quick 20 second animation. Looks great on screen when I run the animation in SWX, but when I try to save as an .avi file and use Solidworks screen as the "buffer" option, it goes thru the motions and seems to be creating the file, but when I try...

    force for press fit ?

Thanks for all the input. I probably should have mentioned this before but it is a stud I'm looking to press in, in a production environment. The stud has a splined surface of sorts on the portion of the stud which is being pressed. This makes the contact surface area which is contacting the...

    force for press fit ?

I'm trying to calculate the for required to press a 1/2 pin in to 1/2 hole... total interference will be 0.023" and the thickness of the receiving parts is 0.394. I was using the formula out of the machinery handbook P=(AxaxF)/2 where P is in tons, A is the area in contact between pin and...

Material help !!!! High hardness - non ferous material???

Thanks for all your responses! I'm going to see if my customer will budge on any of there specs so I can use a more basic material. I only need the high hardness in weld tooling because my customer requires it. It has to be non ferrous so it will not affect the weld schedule.
