    Solidworks for HVAC shop drawings

SolidWorks is not suitabble for that kind of job. The best solution for you is: Autodesk Revit MEP There is a link for this product: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=6861034

    Chamfer dimension

If you apply chamfer feature on some part in a drawing mode when you use insert model items its dimension appears as a linear dimension and angle dimension. Can it be automated to appear directly as a chamfer dimension?

Can this be done in Solidworks?

The drawing and the model are in SW2008 format. Please post them in some previous version of SW or some another format. Not all of us work in SW 2008. :-)

    reinstalling SolidWorks2007

Can somebody explain me how to reinstall sw2007 without to lose the toolbox configurations in SolidWorksData forlder. Can it be done with simple redirection of new installation to the old SolidWorksData folder? Is there any free on-line tutorial about that? Thank you in advance.

flatten (?) something like an auger segment

Hi Ralph2, I do not believe that there is a way to do it in SW because the form of the auger is actually deformed flat plate. I think that SW is not capable to unwrap that kind of form.

How to make a half section?

Save the part with a new name with save as copy option. Make a simple cut extrusion on the new part in order to get the section you want. Import the new isometric view from this part in the drawing. I think that is some kind of solution

Establishing performance of air to air recuperative heat exchanger

I live in Europe and I guide myself according to EN 305, EN 306, EN 307 and EN 308 standard. I also have ARI 1060. I have downloaded it for free, from ARI’s web site. Is this complete version? EN standards are more precise than ARI 1060 standard, and everything that is prescribed in the...

wet and dry efficiency of recuperative air to air heat exchanger

I would be very grateful if somebody can explain me how to calculate dry and wet efficiency of recuperative air to air heat exchanger. I only have this equation for heat exchanger efficiency stated in DIN EN 308 standard. n=(Tsupplyair-Tfreshair)/(Textractair – Tfreshair). Please tell me if...
