Apprentice looking some book advice. 1

Hi Im an apprentice engineer needing some advice on books I can get to help me to re-wind motors. I am being trained to do it but its not an everyday thing at the minute as its not a large company and I can be shifted out to help in the outside electrical work, so wanting to try and get as much information as possible myself to further myself quicker. I've tried looking for books but seem to only find books from 100 years ago, doubt the designs have changed much but would like someone with better knowledge of the subject to point me in the right direction. The trainer in work doesn't believe in books as he never used them, but if it gives me something I can use as a reference it will be very useful.

thanks very much pete thats fantastic, we work on smaller motors usually just 415V and 230V but this will give me a better understanding off it all and I can go from there.
