normal driving skills will be lost?
If autonomous vehicles is the "norm," does it even matter? Are you concerned at all that we've lost the ability, by now, to normally drive and control horse-drawn carriages? There were those that, even back then, never learned to do that, and there are those that eschew driving, even without autonomous vehicles simply because it's not worth the time and investment to drive/own a car at all. Certainly, there are lots of people that never maintained their driving skills, living in an urban landscape with decent mass transit. My mother didn't learn to drive until she was about 43, and that was only because we moved to the suburbs, and my father NEVER learned to drive.
