NXOpen: creating new file from a model template using wrapper functions

Hello everyone!
Is it possible to use legacy wrapper NX Open functions to create new file from a specified model template? I looked up UF_PART_new, but it only creates new file from Blank template.

Why the desire to use the legacy UF functions when the functionality is available directly in the API?

Because you have certain limitations when custom BlockStyler window is open and a way to work around them is to use UF fucntions. Having said that, since asking the question I managed to solve the task using somewhat different approach.
