I am sure they have sharks watching wat's under the water, they are just not saying.
The ones above is checking transports into the gas and oil plants and keeping a look out for more drones and other fishy stuff.

Pretty easy to find fishy stuff in Norway. 😀
<Sorry. I never really got used to seeing sardines for breakfast.>

We have smoked fish for breakfast in Scotland.

Haven't had them for years.

Bet smokies and kippers cost a fortune these days

One of my favorites, egg and anchovies on "cardboard" bread, look in the > hobby forum > food section.

Oh yeah. I do like the Scotish smoked salmon and scrambled egg breakfast. We often have that for lunch or dinner too. Sardines are a but too strong at breakfast, but any other time it's a yes.
Big ones smoked-sword-roasted on the beach from Malaga to Cadiz are the best ever.

An FYI...

‘Dark Ships’ Emerge From the Shadows of the Nord Stream Mystery

Satellite monitors discovered two vessels with their trackers turned off in the area of the pipeline prior to the suspected sabotage in September.

An excerpt from the above item:

The first gas leaks on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline in the Baltic Sea were detected in the early hours of September 26, pouring up to 400,000 tons of methane into the atmosphere. Officials immediately suspected sabotage of the international pipeline. New analysis seen by WIRED shows that two large ships, with their trackers off, appeared around the leak sites in the days immediately before they were detected.

According to the analysis by satellite data monitoring firm SpaceKnow, the two “dark ships,” each measuring around 95 to 130 meters long, passed within several miles of the Nord Stream 2 leak sites. “We have detected some dark ships, meaning vessels that were of a significant size, that were passing through that area of interest,” says Jerry Javornicky, the CEO and cofounder of SpaceKnow. “They had their beacons off, meaning there was no information about their movement, and they were trying to keep their location information and general information hidden from the world,” Javornicky adds.

The discovery, which was made by analyzing images from multiple satellites, is likely to further increase speculation about the cause of the blasts. Multiple countries investigating the incident believe the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines were rocked by a series of explosions, with many suspicions directed at Russia as its full-scale invasion of Ukraine continues. (Russia has denied its involvement.) Once SpaceKnow identified the ships, it reported its findings to officials at NATO, who are investigating the Nord Stream incidents. Javornicky says NATO officials asked the company to provide more information.

Well the most common reasons for ships having there beacon turned of according to the Maritime Administration is poaching, human and drug smuggling and I guess now we can add pipe blowing too.

But you only need a beacon if the vessel is longer then 15 meters and I am sure with the right equipment onboard you wouldn't need two such large boats for that operation as 95 and 135 meters long.
Just think it would be easier to go unnoticed with a smaller boat.

@RedSnake,

Well fishing in these parts of the Baltic Sea is highly restricted (very low quotas) - especilly for cod - that still fetches a good price. So iwouldnt be supriced if it was trawlers wo the transponders. And the deep waters right there i think would be ideal for cod fishing. But you never know of course.

With two ships, you wouldn't have so much exposure time motoring from one to blow the other.

True, but then again this two ships as quoted..

Jerry Javornicky said:

Meaning they where not close and they never stopped.

I guess with some kind of underwater scoter/vessel someone still could have left the ships and then gone to the NS1 and NS2 pipes and then been picked up on the move later on.

I guess it isn't impossible but a hard way of doing it, then some others I could think of. [ponder]

And if they where just moving along and never stopping it would have been less suspicious if they left there transponder on, unless it was a Russian warship, but on the other hand they can't go around unnoticed with or without there transponders on in the Baltic Sea.

Some like a mission impossible or James bond script.

Doing anything from the surface in 80 meters of water takes hours even if it's just go down and look at a wreck for 15 mins.

Yes that was my thinking too.

The translation to English is very good "correct".

Maybe the last part

it is important that we can work in peace and quiet, says Chamber prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist.

would have been more correct

..it is important that we can work undisturbed, says Chamber prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist.

That missile in Poland, foreign officials said it was Russian, then someone posted pictures of a few fragments. The internet immediately identified it as a Ukrainian missile and the foreign officials had to walk back their story. There is no trust in secret investigations.

Well in fact there was talk about two missiles, one Russian and one Ukrainian which was fired to take down the Russian one.
Since many Ukrainian missiles was manufactured in Russia and they have seized many during the war just looking at it want be enough.

That secret investigation is a bit special, since NATO and US "don't" want it to be a missile fired by Russia from Belarus or elsewhere.
Because if it is, it means they have to take action and everybody wants Ukraine to make the job for them and not get involved themselves in the actual fighting.

I was in the ME in the first gulf war and more than one anti missile missile ended up following the incoming one into the ground....

So there could be two. Or the anti missile one just got lost?

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Ukraine and USA both said it was a Russian missile. When they were contradicted and had to walk back there story they responded by saying it doesn't matter who's missile it was, it's Russia's fault anyways. That doesn't sound like they "don't want it to be fired by Russia".
