One of our designers has done some drawings and he has done the dimension of the hole with tolerance pointing to one hole. To another hole in the same bolt circle arrangement, he has put the true position callout. In some cases they are opposite sides of the drawing view. While I don't think this is in violation of ASME Y14.5-2018, I have not seen any examples where the dimension and the GD&T callout are separated like he is doing.
I am of the opinion that it is clearer that they be together.
Looking for opinions if this practice is acceptable or should the dimension and GD&T be together?
