Hi all,
My organization is in the process of investigating failures in a steam turbine. We need expertise to perform thorough analysis of the failure root causes. Does anyone have information about credible engineering / services company capable of providing such consultation services in the South East Asia or Australia region?
Thanks.

I worked in a big steam plant a couple of decades ago. If we had trouble with our turbines that was beyond what we could do, we consulted or hired the turbine manufacturer (GE). Expensive, but they knew the machines.

OP,
My experience has been the same as MechinNC for CHPs. The turbine manufacture required the owner to allow them to continuously monitor, along with required maintenance and rebuild periods, if there was ever a catastrophic failure, I would assume the turbine manufacture to provide an RCA. Where are you in the food chain? Is the owner wanting to do an RCA wholistically with the turbine manufactures information and owners' information? Are you an underwriter or risk analysis organization?
