Three defining face chain error

Hello,

I create a face blend using three defining face chains.
My problem is that if I delete a feature before the face blend, even if it is not related to the face blend, UGNX wants to delete the face blend as well. It does not happen if I just use the two defining face chains.

This has happened to me on two different files. One a carbon canister and this current one, a resonator.

Has anyone encounter this problem? Any fix besides not using the 3 defining face chain option?

Thanks!

I deleted both draft features and the 3 surface blend stayed. I am using NX10. There may be some changes between the two version that may have fixed this. For what it is worth. you could always use a variable radius to get your full fillet. Probably take a bit of modifying and calculating to get what you want. You could also sweep the radius you want and draft from tangent faces. Just some thoughts.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The work around I have with my previous resonator is using a sweep with two sections.
I kinda like the three face blend because it makes the model simple.
With my current UG version, if I delete the line or the distance measurement, UGNX would like to delete the face blend as well.

I will check with our IT guy if I can have UGNX updated to a more recent MP

Why does the line and distance measurement have to exist before the Face Blend? Move them after the Face Blend and you have no issues. Granted, I understand this doesn't FIX the issue, but it keeps you going if the update isn't a viable option.
