Hi,

I´ve worked out an assembly which is consisted of five components.
I´had to apply "WAVE Linker" on two of them.(I created holes on them and the holes had not to be applied on original parts).
Then I made a drawing of the assembly, I placed "Parts List" on the drawing (there were correctly seen all five components in the bar).
After using "Autoballoon" command, unfortunately the parts, on which was applied "WAVE Linker", were not be placed on drawing.
There were only three parts displayed (on which WAVE Linker not to be applied).
Details: I using NX 7.0
using "WAVE Linker" in this way:
open WAVE Linker
Type: body
ticked "Associative
ticked "Hide original
select part to be modified
OK
Please, what´s wrong, that Autoballoon not placed all components on drawing even if in "Parts List" is all OK?
Thanks a lot.

I think you're thinking of the kind of result that you get from using promotions.

If and only if the components you linked from are loaded to the part where you made the links then you may manipulate the levels of the parts list to achieve the desired result.

Hi,
I´m apologize,I think that I describe my problem a little incorretly.
Once more:
1.six parts in assembly, two of them were modify by means of "Wave Linker"
2.six parts are on drawing assembly
3.six parts are seen in the rows of bar of "Parts List"
4.command "Autoballoon" labeled four parts except from two ones on which was applied "Wave Linker".

It´s strange or "Parts List" is created correctly and "Autoballoon" which is linked on "Parts List" works incorrectly.
Please see attached picture.

I suspect that the problem is that the Parts List sees the original components, but they are not displayed since their WAVE-linked 'copies' are now bodies in the Assembly file which supersedes them (so as to prevent attempting to display two identical objects in the same location). Unfortunately the Autoballoon function is looking for the actual physical 'Component' to attach to and fails to recognize the WAVE-linked bodies as their 'surrogates'.

I will need to follow-up with the appropriate development group to see if they are aware of this behavior and have then considered haw they are going to resolve this unexpected situation.
