Hi!

I find that reviewing PDF drawings of my peers on the computer with Adobe Acrobat is slower or more clunky than just printing the drawing on a 11"x17" paper and reviewing it with a pen and highlighter. For instance, to write a weld symbol on Adobe Acrobat implies to put several lines and perform many mouse clicks, while drawing a weld symbol by hand is very quick. I also feel that printing the drawing enables me to see in a new perspective that makes me see some details that I would not have seen otherwise.

I was wondering if some of you annotate drawings with an electronic pen and a tablet? If so, what do you use?

Celt - I'm running power from the wall socket and my laptop sits closed so the display is off. When my displays all went crazy (one of my 27" screens was good, the other went to something like 600x600, wouldn't let me change it, and bounced around on the screen in a manner that almost sent me into a seizure), I unplugged my pen display and dug into everything. With the laptop screen closed and only running my two displays through the dock, the GTX was idle and my integrated showed both monitors.

In the end I plugged the tablet directly into the laptop HDMI with power from the wall, both large monitors through the dock, and I had to play with the refresh rates to get everything to settle in and look good again.

Worth it in the end.

As for the lineweight, I've found 5 to be a practical minimum, too. I just haven't taken the time to make it the default setting.
