3D modeling mice types and opinion

3dconnexion devices like the space navigator/space pilot,etc... are fantastic.. They may take a week or so to get used to them but then you will be amazed at how much faster you can model stuff.. I have the 3d device (older Space Pilot for me at work and navigator at home) in my left hand and...

3 pole, low profile, panel mount connector (jack & plug)

Keep going on those requirements... Current? Voltage? Is the 24mm already in place? If so why is there a hole before you have selected a proper connector? Why do both need to be panel mount? Is there a cable used between them or something?

    UL Listed Fire Standpipes

I don't believe that you MUST label in order for the UL listing to be valid provided you can solidly trace that product to an approval via its part number/manufacturing date,etc...

Sorbothane FEA analysis (Non-linear) in Solidworks

You need the "Solidworks Simulation" version for non-linear analysis.. Not sure if you have that or not.. Don't think non-linear is included in the "basic" Solidworks FEA package..

    Slide/guide Rails?

Basically any linear rail will work.. You just may need to put multiple rails connected to each other.. Could just be a wheel or 2 running in a track.. V-guide wheels,etc.. SO many ways to accomplish the need easily..

Drawing: is month/year enough or is the day really necessary ?

Yes.. I add the day to any drawing and every drawing I've ever seen has had the day in the date.. That way I know what day the change went into effect.. Without the day I can only react month by month and that seems silly.. If things can change from day to day then OBVIOUSLY the day would need...

Acetoxy- curing silicone used on circuit boards.

Maybe I missed it.. Was there anything in the data you sent to the board house mentioning anything about adhesive/capacitor securement, etc?? If not that alone is enough to reject the whole lot.. and thats what I would do.. Nothing like finding out a year or so later that what you though was not...

    Why CAD if CAE

I can use a wrench as a hammer.. But its not the best tool for the job... While some CAE software has some primitive modeling capability its job is analysis of models.. not the creation of them..

Flush Mounted Threaded Through Hole on PCB

Seems like the intended "design" is just going to have a small screw with no protrusion from the backside just barely holding something in place so even a PEM extends too far out the back.. Thats what I took away from it anyways..
