I'm trying to use this too and running into the "License for NX china package isn't available" error (using a Mach 2 licence in NX 8.5). Can anyone give us more of a nudge in the right direction?
Thanks!

Creating a pattern of points in your sketch and then selecting all sketch points in your hole dialog might get you where you need to go?

Thanks, everyone. I'm dealing with an "I'm sure I did this in UG v18.0" type situation so I just wanted to check that it had never been implemented, as is suggested in the post I referred to earlier.
Cheers,

Is anyone else able to add 3D centrelines to revolved section views and if so, what am I missing, as I can't convince NX to do it?
I've looked around and there's a post from 5 years ago (thread561-185631) - a list of the top 10 ER's for each module. This behaviour was requested (Drafting, point...
I tried doing a hydraulic hose + fittings (basically the same as your example by the sound of it) and I got it to work by creating the first connector, the hose and the second connector as separate bodies (by setting the Boolean option between them to None) in the same part file and then making...
You can have the 'nearest iso view' in 1 button press - set a system environment variable UGII_FKEY_DYNAMICS with the value of 1 and this turns F1, F2, F3 and F4 into Pan, Zoom, 3D Rotate and 'Snap to nearest ortho or iso view'. Using F4 with the Orient View button in the Base View command is...
If the customer defaults are being 'ignored', open up your drawing template and try Preferences > Annotation > Load All Defaults and Preferences > View > Load All Defaults, then save and close. When you create a new drawing, your defaults will hopefully be applied (you can also do the same on...
See also this thread (http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=314847) for exporting your Assembly Navigator layout (as long as you're comfortable with registry editing).

Off the top of my head (without having tested it and all the usual disclaimers), if you want sheet 3 to show 'sheet 1 of 6' and sheet 4 to show 'sheet 2 of 6', how about setting an expression to MY_SHEET_NUMBER = <W@$SH_SHEET_NUMBER>-2 and MY_TOTAL_SHEETS = <W@$SH_NUMBER_OF_SHEETS>-2 and put...
Oh and make sure the hardware you buy is on Siemens' approved list, as you'll get better support if you do have any problems.

For a given budget, you're better off with a processor with 2-4 faster cores than lots of slower ones, as NX doesn't multi-thread many of its processes.
6GB RAM and a 1GB graphics card are recommended (the ATI V5800 and V7800 are good value, imho). These numbers would vary up or down depending...
Have you got the system variable UGII_SMP_ENABLE set to 1? If rendering is capable of multi-threading (and I don't know if it is nor not), you'll need this set or NX won't multi-thread anything.

If it's just Name and Description that yo uwant to change, there's not much better that you can do, but if you want to change Item IDs as well, ask Siemens or your reseller about a utility called Recursive Rename.

Are your docs installed locally or on a server? Ours were installed on a server and we couldn't search them either but after reinstalling locally it worked with no problem.

NX2 was way before my time, but if I was doing this now I'd go Edit > Feature > Remove Parameters to turn the original sheets and their sew operations into one resultant Body, is there an NX2 equivalent of this?
It will mean that you can't go back and edit the Sews, but as long as that's ok...
If your constraints are arrangement-specific, find the ones that are related to 'F' and suppress them in the 'F suppressed' arrangement, they will no longer appear as errors or problems.

If I've understood the requirement correctly, you need to set F to Reference Only (making it visible but excluded from the BOM) and then create an assembly arrangement called e.g. "F Suppressed", in which you suppress subassembly F.
The default arrangement of assembly A should be the original...
