Does anyone have any good design tips for designing a horizontal truss in RAM SS to act as the diaphragm? I have a large force needing to be transferred to the frames, and the roof decking alone will not handle it.

Can I simply just model the roof using the horizontal braces in RAM? I have never used these before.

I don't use the computer program you are talking about, but a horizontal truss works just like a vertical truss, except you need to take into account the gravity bending under self weight. But don't call a truss a diaphragm.
