Good Afternoon,
I have a question regarding detailing welds that have to be sealed. So say for example the weld size I require structurally is a 5 single bevel butt weld. Now this is required to be liquid tight also. If I add 'SEAL WELD' reference will this compromise the weld strength by some process that's required for the creation of a seal weld? Or will the fact that I have specified the weld type and size withhold its structural integrity even though it is specified as a seal weld? Or do I need not specify seal weld at all as the single bevel butt weld will be expected to achieve this anyway?
Thanks
