@Toost
Thanks for the input. We will be working off of GM folders. The Teamcenter version will be new to me. I currently work standalone. But GM is asking for us to be connected to their databases. I don't know a whole lot other than Teamcenter is a fully integrated UG and File management...
Hey guys, I'm going to be installing TcUA 11.2.3.1_a3g1, and I was wondering if I need more under the hood?
Any thoughts? The need is immediate and would appreciate any input.
Thanks,

@cowski - Ok. We use the GM toolkit program "Stock Size" to assign the material attributes. I tried this and I see that I must select Associative under Associative and checking, this activates the "Create principal Axes" box. And now I can save that point. Great. Thanks guys.

This is something that from time to time we are asked to provide. Is there a way to determine center of gravity on an assembly?

Thanks everyone for your input. I am able to remove much of the association via the settings button as you suggested. As for why Xwheelguy wasn't able to reproduce the behavior leads me to believe that the association buttons have been unchecked, as they are remembered, probably via the "save...
@cowski, It does't matter if the "move parents" or "Associative" box is selected or not. The association is established when the block was created. So, I went to the "settings" tab and there it was, I can turn the association off. And it does remember the choice. So this is a good start...
@jerry1423... No, I'll describe again. When you create a block, 100mm cubed, and then move it, using point to point, to the point of an existing block, the new block is now associated to the existing block where you chose the destination point. So if you move the existing block now, the new...
While performing many modeling moves, such as copying a block using point to point move, or performing a split block, the result is an association between the two objects. So If I move either of the blocks the other comes along for the ride. The work around has been to remove the parameters from...
I am looking to duplicate the Ribbon/border bars/role to another computer. In Nx9.5 I would copy the user.mtx to the new computer and the toolbars would duplicate. I tried this on Nx11 and it does not work. Little Help?
Thanks Dave/Tomas/John! That worked. I think I will also add your "fix" John, I'll try that later today. Thanks for your help... ( that was so annoying ) Dennis
After performing a measure distance I always have to check the "show information window" under "results display". Nx9 doesn't remember to keep this checked. Is there a customer defaults setting for this???
Thanks. More accurately I was answering hoolito's post, dated 17 jul 14 07:50, down the thread.
I guess pursuant to the original question by Cubalibre00, I don't know why anyone would want to open an assembly by chronological vs alphanumerical... There are better ways to handle versions, ie...
cowski, if you look at JohnRbakers post, he does not mention that you MUST have the assemblies application active. try it yourself. if it isn't active you won't get the choice to change the sort order. it will only show the default, which is chronological.
Also, both topics were covered in the...
Actually, yes I did. That is why I included the crucial piece of missing information. If the Assemblies application is not active you wont be able to use the easiest way to change the sort order on demand. I flip the sort order back and forth all the time.
thread561-358715
All of the posts in the referenced thread missed the easiest option to change the default (chronological) sort order to Alphabetical. You have to make sure the "ASSEMBLIES APPLICATION" (found on the application toolbar) is active. Then position the cursor over the assembly file...
