Draftsight 2020 - Hatch Edit Issue

There is a separate forum for Draftsight questions. https://www.eng-tips.com/threadminder.cfm?pid=1480 And there is no image attached

    Hidden dimension

Sa-Ro, If you share the actual SolidWorks part instead of just a PDF, someone maybe able to figure out a resolution

    Section lable

@Sa-Ro I don't know when this option was added but in 2020, when copying sheets you are given the option to rename the label or not. Either way, the label can be edited after it is created If the section is exactly the same, but copied for clarity of dimensioning, the label should clearly state...

Line Style Scaling factor-is there such a thing?

There are apparently TWO standard foot measurements...

@waross ... 'continues to call that language 'English' instead of 'Americanese' and then corrupts fixes our spellings!'

    "Backconverting"

This has had very mixed reviews over the years but you could try http://backworks.info/

    Adding a rolled-back assy/part to assy

Short term solution ... Do as handleman states. Long term solution ... Either find and fix the problem, or delete and recreate the sweep.

    Fillet problems

You will probably need to post the model so the underlying cause can be found.

    CLEAR CACHE

[ponder] We need a crickets chirping emoticon.

Selecting faces for mates, yields no onscreen menu results

Hi Scott, I have had that happen quite a few times but had never associated the problem with being selections made near the edges of the screen. Have you submitted a bug report?

    CLEAR CACHE

If by cache you mean Recent Documents, you can run the attached .reg file to clear the registry before firing up SW. https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=8fb0daa9-d82b-46e3-b3f0-3c4e3aec9931&file=Clear_SW18_Recent_Doc_List.reg

    Drawing version?

@APG63, The slow down caused by the threads can be easily avoided by suppressing the Helix feature.

Solidworks crashes when trying to modify part

Run the SOLIDWORKS Rx > Diagnostics tool to check the graphics card & driver suitability.

Solidworks crashes when trying to modify part

That part was created with SW15, or at least it was last saved with SW15. I was able to modify the first revolve feature and several others, so it looks like the problem is at your end.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=11f8c689-6d43-4b27-879d-450776cba8c0&file=Cup_Base_SW15.PNG

Any way to "idiot-proof" display states?

Nothing can be made idiot-proof. Whnever you get close, a bigger idiot comes along.

Fillet on a specified edge, with no propagation on the nearer ones

Or you could create a multi-body part by splitting the model at the radial intersections, then add the fillet to the edge, and finally combine the bodies.

    Virtual Components

I use VC's for things like non-standard shaped O-rings, epoxy seals, fluids, or anything which doesn't conform to the definition of a stockable part. I also use them extensively for concept assembly designs.

    Dynamic Reference Visualization Trouble

Are you using an approved graphics card & driver? Run the SOLIDWORKS Rx > Diagnostics tool to check. Have you tried changing the Background colour scheme?

Using the Sum equation in a general table

Looks like you have to type the cells being summed manually. e.g. =SUM(B1:B3)

XYZ arrows/UCS disappear when using measure tool

Yes, it's a bug. Add your comments and 'vote' to escalate the SPR.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=cc389a38-3e52-4046-a466-2b8a7db3fcbd&file=Disappearing_UCS.PNG
