This problem should have been addressed 20 years back or more, rather than just paying 'lip service' to it. There still hasn't been a concerted effort to address it, and it may be well beyond the point where we can make a difference. I do notice that climate events are getting worse, and more frequent than in relatively recent past, and I suspect things can get a lot worse. I don't want to sit down and put together a list of possible/probable 'uglies' that could result.

When you say that you notice climate events are getting more severe and more frequent, I can't believe that to be true. I doubt you've experienced worsening severe weather in your own climate. I think what you have noticed is an increase in reporting on severe weather events around the world.

Another article about a normal weather event. At least they didn't blame the event in climate change. Merely that we should prepare for weather like it. Isn't that how we always used to prepare? We'd build for the "100 year event".

Even the inventor of carbon capture came out recently and said it was a waste of resources. More snake oil. Let it fail, we need to stop wasting money on these stupid projects.

Then let's stop funneling money into the pockets of venture capitalists and invest in improving our existing infrastructure with today's technology.

It's crazy to support projects like this when they can't even stand up to high school level scrutiny. Whatever makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside I guess.

I think what you have noticed is an increase in reporting on severe weather events around the world.

And when you are primed for it, you start noticing weather events a lot more. You have in your mind climate change, and so climate change is what you see. It’s rampant in Australia. Statistically normal flooding being pointed to as clear an undeniable signs of the climate apocalypse.

It’s similar to when you work on a certain problem, or renovate your house a certain way with a certain finish, and you start seeing examples everywhere.

I have no experience researching psychology papers, however its interesting to note that searching for papers related to psychology and climate change results in a flood that all seem to assume negative climate change to be fact, not theory. It almost seems anti-science.
